Welcome to Libby’s Southern Comfort – Northern Kentucky’s newest spot for southern cuisine and refreshing cocktails! Libby’s is located in the heart of the Duveneck Square area of Covington, KY, at 35 W. Eighth St. We are a casual bar/eatery located in the historic former home of Dixie Wholesale Grocery. Its newly restored atmosphere gives it a cool, modern-industrial vibe but with the comforts of home.
Libby's has crafted an amazing menu which features a mouthwatering selection of southern cuisine including special-recipe fried chicken, oysters on the half shell, fried green tomatoes and goetta hush puppies. We will boast amazing fresh catch specials and delicious burgers and salads. Our bread comes from our friends at Sixteen Bricks.
Our delectable oatmeal cream pies come from Northern Kentucky home bakery Scratch: Hand-Crafted Desserts. Grab a barstool to watch the game and enjoy a taste from our vintage bourbon collection, specialty southern cocktails, carefully selected wines, or our many craft beers. Don’t forget to try our frozen specialties – Libby’s Cheerwine Bourbon Slush and the Eighth Street Specialty Slush!
About Libby's
Family, faith, love, strength, and good friends are the foundation on which Libby’s was created. Owner and life-long Northern Kentucky resident Brad Wainscott has a longstanding history in the family restaurant business. He and his wife Michelle, along with business partners, Jeremy and Kate Legge, set forth to create a fun, comfortable place for friends and families to gather to eat and drink well – and Libby’s was born.
Libby’s is named for the Wainscotts’ daughter Libby, whose image is reflected in the restaurant logo with the beloved family black lab, Yuma. So whether you are celebrating a birthday, an anniversary, a job promotion or just want to toast a night out with good friends, please stop in, relax and “put a little south in your mouth!”
Hours of Operation
Our hours are from 11a.m.- 10 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 11a.m.- 11p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 10a.m.-3p.m. on Sundays. We are closed on Mondays.
